BeeBee & Leaf and Zero Waste Week

This week has been Zero Waste Week. We have been suggesting some simple swaps you can try making in your home to cut down, or eliminate, waste. We hope it’s given you something to think about and you may consider a few experiments / changes in your life to help reduce your waste. Finally, we’re taking a look at our bathroom products.

Spotlight on our bathroom products

Our bathrooms are filled with plastic - shampoo and shower gel bottles, toothpaste tube, toothbrush, sanitary products, moisturiser bottles, soap dispensers, deodorant cans. It all ends up in landfill.

We recently spoke with eco hero Jen Gale, and she spoke about the overwhelm people can feel when starting to make sustainable changes, she suggested the bathroom was a good place to begin. Perhaps more manageable than the weekly shop.

Where can you find sustainable bathroom products?

Our favourite place to buy shampoo bars, deodorants, and lotions is Zero Waste Path. Their products are 100% vegan-friendly, natural, handmade, zero waste, plastic free and palm-oil-free!

Choosing to spend your money with businesses like Zero Waste Path really does make a difference. Since they opened in February 2018, they have saved approximately 49,750 bottles from ending up in landfill because their customers have chosen to purchase their products instead, they’ve also personally done a happy dance each time!

Check out how Zero Waste Path handmake their beautiful bathroom bars of shampoo and soap!
