Our 2019 Recap

BeeBee Wraps Packaging

As 2019 draws to a close, we've been reflecting on the past 12 months at BeeBee. What a year it's been! We wanted to share some of the highlights with you and thank you once again for your continued support. Without you, our 2019 story wouldn't have been half as fun!

The beginning of the year saw the arrival of 4 new BeeBee Wrap designs and the launch of our design-led packaging. Taking us closer to our mission to create plastic-free alternatives which don't compromise on appearance. We believe that something we use every day should help us feel happier, not make life harder!

As the news of our clingfilm alternative grew, so have their uses. It turns out BeeBee Wraps also make great packaging for bars of soap! We were thrilled to be able to donate wraps to Ufulu's wonderful efforts in fighting period poverty in Malawi. Read more about the fantastic cause here.

Our design-led approach seemed to be working as we welcomed more and more members to our family of stockists. Working with organic food champs Abel and Cole was a massive moment! Thanks to them and all of our stockists, BeeBee went nation-wide! And, as you can see here, it was an exciting day at BBHQ for Kath and Rachel when we received our first order from our organic cotton, dungaree heroes Lucy and Yak! Taking us out of the food world and reaching ethical fashionistas!

You asked for it, we created it! We know how difficult it is to decide on just one BeeBee design so now you don't always have to! Spring saw the launch of our first mixed design packs- The Nature Collection. Available in our Cheese and Family Packs. Watch Kath introduce the Family Pack here

This year saw the co-brand side of our business grow and gave us the opportunity to partner with some fantastic organisations. A highlight was being able to create a gorgeous wrap for The Woodland Trust. Their wrap has been hugely popular and is available to buy on the charity's website.

In the summer, we received our largest order yet from national milk and food delivery service Milk and More. Super exciting but we needed more help! Team BeeBee grew significantly wahoo! What a lovely bunch!

On 8 September, Kath pitched to the Dragons on Dragons' Den - utterly terrifying, but a massively positive experience! Read about it here. We also discovered that Peter Jones has Tulip BeeBee Wraps in his kitchen!!

As the word of our clingfilm alternative spread and the team grew, BBHQ became too small. In Autumn we made the move to BBHQ2! Although we may look emotional (?!) about moving in the photo, this was super exciting!

Winter saw the launch of Puffin which is fast becoming your favourite BeeBee design! Find out why we wanted to put these declining birds centre stage on our plastic-free food wraps here. You loved them so much that we decided to include them in our second mixed design packs- the Ocean Collection!

We also introduced our first non BeeBee Wrap product- the BeeBee Wipe! Our reusable and washable alternative to plastic sponges. This is the first of many exciting projects that we have simmering away and we can’t wait to tell you about them in early 2020!

Woooow what a year! Without your continued support, whether through your kind words of encouragement, buying our wraps, or telling your friends and family, we wouldn't be where we are today. So thank you again for making 2019 such a great one!

Wishing you a wonderful New Year!
Kath and Team BeeBee x
